Beam steering in a vertical room sectionScaled geometric illustration with an upright array on the left, a main floor and a balcony. Mounting height, electronic tilt, vertical opening and focus distance can be adjusted manually. This is not an acoustic calculation. 051015202530354045024681012h = 3,2 mFocus Distance−6°Main floorBalconyDistance x [m]Height z [m]Listening height 1,2 mListening height 5,2 m

The focus point is being calculated.

Mounting height and electronic tilt determine the main axis. Focus distance moves the focus along that axis. The enclosure remains upright.

Geometric illustration using example room and array dimensions, not an acoustic simulation or proof of coverage. The contours are schematic; sound pressure, frequency dependence and reflections are not calculated. Sharpness and blur illustrate the target area, without implying that no sound is audible outside it. The controls do not represent equipment limits.

Electronic sound steering

Beam steering adjusts sound radiation electronically. The actual design depends on the room, the audience areas and the selected system.
